History & background

কক্সবাজার শহর থেকে প্রায় ১৫ কিমি দূরে রামু, যেখানে বৌদ্ধ ঐতিহ্যের ইতিহাস দুই হাজার বছরের বলে ধরা হয়। পুরনো কাঠের ক্যাং, সোনালি চূড়ার বিহার আর বিমুক্তি বিদর্শন ভাবনা কেন্দ্রের প্রায় ১০০ ফুট লম্বা শায়িত বুদ্ধমূর্তি এখানকার মূল আকর্ষণ। ২০১২ সালের হামলায় পুড়ে যাওয়া বিহারগুলো পরে নতুন করে তৈরি হয়েছে। প্রবারণা পূর্ণিমায় বাঁকখালী নদীতে ভাসানো হয় কল্পজাহাজ, আকাশে ওড়ে ফানুস।
